- Cooked barley (below)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 lb hamburger
- Half a chopped onion
- 0.5 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg beaten
- 0.5 cup evaporated milk
- 0.25 tsp pepper
- 0.5 tsp marjoram
- 0.125 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp butter
- 6 cabbage leaves
Wash and drain 0.5 cup barley. Cook in 2 cups of water until water evaporates (45 min). Remove from heat and cool.
Mix all ingredients except cabbage.
Steam cabbage leaves until tender
Fill leaves with meat/barley mix. Roll and fasten with toothpicks.
Melt butter in skillet and place rolls in bottom. Cook over low heat until lightly browned. 20-30 min.
